BYU Basketball’s Kennard Davis Jr. Arrested for DUI After Crash

Kennard Davis Jr., a prominent starter for the BYU men’s basketball team, was arrested on Thursday for driving under the influence (DUI). The incident occurred around 11:50 a.m. at the intersection of 900 West and Center Street in Provo. This arrest followed a car crash that prompted a police investigation.

Details of the Arrest

According to the Provo Police Department, officers had sufficient grounds to arrest Davis for suspected DUI. He was taken to the Provo police station, where he was cited for DUI. Following this, Davis was released for medical treatment due to minor injuries sustained during the crash.

Davis is a key player for the BYU Cougars. He started the first two games of the season, contributing significantly with 12 points and two assists in a recent game against Holy Cross. This game ended with a decisive score of 98-53 in favor of BYU.
