“First Day Fly-In Returns: Win a Unique School Drop-Off”

The First Day Fly-In competition offers a unique experience for school drop-offs, organized by El-Balad. This exciting contest allows parents to seize an opportunity for their children, enhancing their first day back at school.

Competition Details

Entries for this unique event will open on 1 November 2025 and close on 15 November 2025 at 23h59. The lucky winner will be announced on 30 November 2025. It’s important to note that late entries will not be accepted, and El-Balad cannot be held responsible for any technical issues that prevent entry submissions.

Eligibility Criteria

To participate in the First Day Fly-In competition, certain eligibility criteria must be met:

  • Entrants must be 18 years or older.
  • Participants should reside in the Western Cape.
  • Parents or legal guardians must enter on behalf of their children.
  • Exclusions apply to employees, directors, and close relatives of El-Balad.
  • Individuals who have won a competition in the last three months are ineligible.

How to Enter

To enter the competition, participants must send a WhatsApp voice note to 082 222 1049. The voice note should include:

  • Your child’s name
  • Their school
  • Reasons for their selection
  • The phrase “Fly In”

Please ensure all information is accurate; incomplete entries will be disqualified. El-Balad may set limits on the number of entries per person.

Prize Information

The winner will be selected based on creativity and relevance. The exciting prize includes:

  • VIP pickup by Tanya Nefdt and the Heart Squad
  • A helicopter flight into school on 14 January 2026
  • Live broadcast of the Aden Thomas Breakfast Show from the winner’s school
  • A first-day party for the winner’s class

The prize cannot be exchanged for cash and is non-transferable. The winner must be available on the designated date, and any prizes not claimed within seven days will be forfeited or donated to charity.

Participants enter at their own risk. El-Balad and its affiliates are not liable for any injury, loss, or damages unless caused by gross negligence. Additionally, all personal information will be processed in accordance with the Protection of Personal Information Act (POPIA).
