Lawsuit Claims Army Gynecologist Secretly Filmed Patients During Exams

An Army gynecologist stationed at Fort Hood in Texas faces serious allegations after a lawsuit claims he secretly filmed patients during examinations. Filed under the pseudonym Jane Doe, the complaint alleges that Army Maj. Blaine McGraw used his trusted position to exploit and manipulate women under his care.
Allegations Against Army Gynecologist
The 13-page lawsuit, lodged in the District Court of Bell County, accuses McGraw of engaging in inappropriate and invasive medical practices. The plaintiff visited him seeking treatment for pelvic pain and uterine health concerns. However, during multiple appointments, McGraw allegedly groped and examined her in ways medically unnecessary and degrading.
Specifically, the complaint details incidents where McGraw sent nurses away before conducting what the lawsuit describes as humiliating breast and vaginal examinations.
Suspension and Ongoing Investigation
In light of the serious allegations, McGraw was suspended from his role at the Carl R. Darnall Army Medical Center on October 17. This suspension coincided with the first report of misconduct, according to statements from Fort Hood officials. Additionally, the Army’s Criminal Investigation Division (CID) initiated a probe into his conduct soon after the allegations were made.
Further Victims and Legal Action
Attorney Andrew Cobos is representing 45 other alleged victims of McGraw beyond Jane Doe. According to the lawsuit, one particularly troubling incident occurred on October 14, 2025. During this consultation, McGraw allegedly faked a phone call while recording the exam without the plaintiff’s consent.
The lawsuit indicates that investigators showed Jane Doe images captured during her examination, revealing that McGraw had filmed several female patients during their appointments. Allegedly, this behavior was known to Army leadership in both Texas and Hawaii, where McGraw previously practiced, yet no action was taken.
Army’s Response and Patient Safety Measures
Fort Hood officials confirmed they mailed notification letters to all patients treated by McGraw. They also stated additional measures are being undertaken to ensure patient safety and review clinical processes at the medical center.
Despite the gravity of the situation, the lawsuit criticizes the Army for its “indifference” towards the allegations against McGraw, claiming that attempts to meet with leadership regarding the matter were dismissed. The plaintiffs assert that no meaningful support has been offered to the alleged victims, leaving them without necessary trauma care or counseling.
