Dan Stevens Eager to Create THE GUEST Sequel: “I’m Very Willing”

Dan Stevens has expressed a strong desire to revisit his iconic role in the cult classic film, The Guest. Eleven years after its release, he remains enthusiastic about a potential sequel. In a recent interview with JoBlo, Stevens stated, “I’m very willing” to step back into the character of David, a soldier with a mysterious past.
More on The Guest
The Guest debuted in 2014 under the direction of Adam Wingard. The film follows Stevens’ character, who claims to have served with a deceased soldier, leading to unsettling events in the grieving family’s life. Although it didn’t perform exceptionally at the box office, its stylish direction and memorable synth soundtrack earned it a dedicated fanbase.
Stevens’ Remarks on a Sequel
While Stevens is eager for a sequel, he acknowledges the challenge of recreating David’s physique from a decade ago. “Time is running out for me to be in the shape that David was in ten years ago,” he said. His frankness raises an interesting question about the feasibility of a follow-up film.
Future Collaborations and Projects
Beyond The Guest, Stevens and Wingard continue to collaborate. Their latest project, Godzilla x Kong: The New Empire, was released last year. They are also developing an upcoming action-horror film titled Onslaught, which stars Stevens alongside Adria Arjona, Rebecca Hall, and Drew Starkey. This film centers on a mother defending her family from a mysterious threat.
Stevens will further immerse himself in the MonsterVerse with a role in Godzilla x Kong: Supernova, scheduled for release on March 26, 2027.
Fan Anticipation for The Guest Sequel
Fans have long awaited a sequel to The Guest. Stevens’ recent remarks could reignite interest in the possibility of this project. The hope is that if both he and Wingard can navigate their busy schedules, a sequel might become a reality.
