Cal State Fullerton Honors the Late Lauren Turner

Cal State Fullerton’s Athletics Department mourns the loss of Lauren Turner, a talented women’s soccer player. Turner passed away on November 7, after spending nearly six weeks in the ICU following a tragic traffic accident off-campus.

She was a sophomore at Cal State Fullerton and a native of Tustin, California. During her time with the Titans, Lauren played in 10 games this season, starting in eight. Her contributions were significant, especially during the team’s historic unbeaten start in the 2025 season. Notably, she played the full match in a crucial win against Pitt, marking the team’s second-ever victory over an Atlantic Coast Conference (ACC) opponent.

  • Participated in all 20 games during the previous season.

In recognition of her impact on the women’s soccer program, the Titans Soccer Team and the Athletics Department will hold a candlelight vigil on November 12 at 5:30 p.m. This event will take place at Titan Stadium, where fans can enter through the South Entrance ramp.

Lauren’s legacy will endure through those she inspired at Cal State Fullerton, and she will always be remembered as a valued member of the Titan family.
