Colts Add Treadwell, Nchami, and Smith to Active Roster for Week 10

The Indianapolis Colts have made significant roster changes ahead of their Week 10 matchup against the Atlanta Falcons. On Saturday, the team signed wide receiver Laquon Treadwell to the 53-man roster from the practice squad. Additionally, defensive end Durell Nchami and defensive tackle Tim Smith were elevated from the practice squad for this week’s game.

Injury Updates and Roster Adjustments

These roster movements come in the wake of several injury updates. The Colts announced that defensive tackle DeForest Buckner has been placed on injured reserve due to a neck injury. This will sideline him for at least four games, making him eligible to return in Week 15, following the team’s bye week in Week 11. Over his ten-year NFL career, Buckner has only missed six games due to injuries.

In addition to Buckner, the Colts ruled out defensive ends Samson Ebukam, who is dealing with a knee issue, and Tyquan Lewis, who has a groin injury. Wide receiver Anthony Gould was also downgraded from questionable to out for this week.

Laquon Treadwell’s Career and Contributions

  • Laquon Treadwell: A ten-year veteran, he has played in four games for the Colts this season.
  • Career Stats: Treadwell has participated in 85 games with 24 starts, recording 111 receptions for 1,242 yards and five touchdowns.
  • Previous Elevations: He was elevated for games in Week 7 and Week 9 this season.

Elevations from the Practice Squad

Nchami and Smith are also making their presence felt as they join the active roster. Nchami has been on the practice squad throughout the season but had been elevated in Weeks 8 and 9. Tim Smith, a sixth-round pick in the 2025 draft, has yet to appear in a game but is now set to make his debut after being elevated.

As the Colts prepare for their matchup against the Falcons, these roster moves aim to address the injuries and enhance the team’s performance on the field.
