Beware Weather Fluctuations: Meteorology Reveals Next Week’s Forecast Details

Recent weather updates from the Meteorological Authority indicate fluctuations in Egypt’s climate as temperatures rise slightly. The current increase ranges from 2 to 3 degrees Celsius above seasonal averages for this time of year. Today, in Greater Cairo, temperatures are reported between 27 and 28 degrees Celsius during the day.

Impact of Humidity and Winds

The rise in humidity alongside calm winds contributes to a heightened sensation of warmth. Dr. Manar Ghanem, a member of the Meteorological Authority, emphasized that daytime conditions are stable and autumn-like, though they feel warmer in northern provinces, particularly in Upper Egypt.

Temperature Variations

Significant temperature differences between day and night, exceeding 10 to 12 degrees Celsius, have been noted. The weather remains moderate early in the evening but tends to cool towards the overnight hours and early morning, which may lead to an increase in cold-related illnesses.

Rainfall Chances

Dr. Ghanem pointed out limited opportunities for light to moderate rainfall along certain coastal areas by the Mediterranean Sea. Slight rainfall may additionally extend into the southern regions of the Nile Delta and Greater Cairo.

Dense Fog Warnings

The authorities have issued warnings regarding the potential for dense fog forming late at night and early morning, primarily affecting agricultural and major roads near water bodies. However, visibility is expected to improve as the sun rises.

Stability in Weather Patterns

These stable weather patterns are projected to persist until the middle of the upcoming week. Dr. Ghanem noted that the recent weather fluctuated between winter and summer conditions, typical for the autumn season.

Looking Ahead

The second half of the autumn season is expected to bring a gradual decline in temperatures, along with increased chances of rainfall, especially in coastal and northern regions. These climatic shifts are seen as a precursor to the approaching winter season in the following weeks.
