How the Unrivaled Draft Works
The Unrivaled draft now features 48 players, expanding from 36 last season. The teams that reached the playoffs were able to protect two players, while non-playoff teams could protect one. New expansion teams, Breeze BC and Hive BC, conducted a coin toss to secure the first overall pick.
This season promises to deliver competitive balance, with each coach selecting one player from each designated position pod. The structure aims to maintain fairness while showcasing emerging talent in women’s basketball.
