Hopkinton Update: No Local Voting on Tuesday, Nov. 4

Hopkinton residents should note that there will be no local voting today, Tuesday, November 4. This decision is consistent with the town’s election schedule.
Election Schedule in Hopkinton
Town Clerk Connor Degan clarified that municipal elections are mandated to take place in the spring. State elections occur only in even-numbered years, while city elections are held in the fall of odd-numbered years. As a result, there are no local elections scheduled today.
Degan emphasizes the lack of scheduled elections stems from the absence of any special elections. He noted that confusion arose due to extensive media coverage of other regional and national elections, but local residents should be aware that these do not affect Hopkinton.
