Min Hee-jin Launches New Music Label: Reports

Min Hee-jin, the former CEO of Ador, has launched a new music label called Ooak (One Of A Kind). This move marks her return to the entertainment industry after her dismissal a year ago. The company was officially registered on October 16.
Details of the New Company Launch
Ooak will focus on various aspects of the music industry, including:
- Artist management
- Album production and distribution
- Event planning
The registered office is situated near the popular Garosu-gil area in Seoul’s Gangnam-gu, where a new facility is under construction.
Ongoing Legal Disputes
Min Hee-jin’s return comes amid several unresolved legal challenges. She is currently in litigation with Hybe regarding the termination of their shareholder agreement and put option rights. Additionally, she faces allegations of workplace harassment from a former employee at Ador.
The K-pop girl group NewJeans, which she produced, is also embroiled in legal disputes over their contracts with Ador. In November, the group notified Ador of a unilateral contract termination, prompting Ador to file a lawsuit. They seek validation of the contracts and an injunction to maintain their producer status.
As part of the court proceedings, Ador’s injunction was granted, preventing NewJeans members from pursuing independent acts until a final decision is reached.
Upcoming Court Verdict
The next crucial date in this legal affair is October 30, when the court will announce its verdict regarding the Ador-NewJeans lawsuit. This decision will have significant implications for all parties involved.
