Minnesota Man Allegedly Offers $45,000 to Kill Pam Bondi, Arrested

A Minnesota man has been arrested for allegedly offering $45,000 for the assassination of Attorney General Pam Bondi. Tyler Avalos, 29, reportedly made this threat on TikTok, expressing a desire for Bondi to be “dead or alive,” with a preference for her death.

Details of the Allegation

The incident emerged after the FBI began investigating Avalos on October 9. A tipster from Detroit alerted the FBI National Threat Operations Center, prompting a deeper examination of Avalos’ TikTok account. The post in question displayed an image of Bondi with a sniper-scope targeting her forehead and included a chilling message suggesting violence.

Investigation Highlights

  • Threat posted on TikTok included a sniper-scope image of Pam Bondi.
  • Avalos communicated a clear threat stating he wanted her “preferably dead.”
  • The investigation utilized technological assistance from TikTok, Google, and Comcast.

Legal Proceedings

Avalos was charged with creating an online post that contains a threat to inflict harm. In a court appearance last Wednesday, he waived his right to a preliminary hearing. The judge released him on personal recognizance but mandated that he wear a GPS monitoring device.

Tyler Avalos resides in St. Paul, Minnesota, and has a criminal history that raises concerns. His record includes:

  • A July 2022 stalking conviction in Dakota County.
  • An August 2016 domestic battery charge in Polk County, Florida.
