Adobe Unveils Foundry Service for Custom Enterprise Generative AI Models

Adobe has announced the launch of its new service, Adobe AI Foundry, designed for enterprises seeking custom generative AI models. This innovative offering debuted on Monday, enabling companies to collaborate with Adobe to tailor unique AI solutions that cater to their branding and intellectual property.
Adobe AI Foundry: Transforming Enterprise Solutions
Adobe AI Foundry builds upon the Firefly family of AI models, which were introduced in 2023 and trained exclusively on licensed data. The Foundry service allows enterprises to refine these models to meet their specific needs, producing various forms of content, including text, images, videos, and even 3D scenes.
Key Features of Adobe AI Foundry
- Custom AI Models: Tailored to enterprise branding and intellectual property.
- Extensive Capabilities: Generates text, images, videos, and 3D content.
- Usage-Based Pricing: Flexible pricing model based on usage instead of per seat.
- Model Fine-Tuning: Adaptation of Firefly models for individual customer requirements.
According to Hannah Elsakr, Vice President of Generative AI New Business Ventures at Adobe, the Foundry service represents a natural progression in Adobe’s enterprise AI offerings. She emphasized that clients have requested more customization options, driving the development of this service. “This elevates a lot of the capabilities we already had,” Elsakr stated.
Impact on Advertising Campaigns
Since the release of Firefly models, enterprises have created over 25 billion assets. The custom models from Adobe AI Foundry will enable brands to maintain consistency across their advertising campaigns. A business could launch a single ad campaign and subsequently use the AI model to tailor the same advertisement across different seasons, languages, and formats.
Personalized Creative Solutions
Elsakr noted that the platform allows for highly personalized advertising efforts. “Generative AI and Firefly make it possible to put the brand in the hand of the consumer in an on-brand way,” she said. Despite the advanced tools available, Adobe does not intend for these solutions to replace human creativity. Instead, they aim to enhance the workflows of creative professionals.
“Humanity is at the center of creativity and cannot be replaced,” she affirmed. The launch of Adobe AI Foundry and the Firefly models marks the next evolution in providing tools that empower creatives to effectively communicate and execute their storytelling visions.
