Universal Orlando Tests Express Pass for Single Attractions

Universal Orlando Resort is testing a new ticketing option known as the Universal Express Single Attraction Access. This program, currently available at select attractions, allows guests to bypass the regular lines for individual rides rather than purchasing an all-inclusive Express pass.

Details of the Universal Express Single Attraction Access

The trial launch covers two attractions: “Revenge of the Mummy” at Universal Studios Florida and “Skull Island: Reign of Kong” at Universal’s Islands of Adventure. The introduction of this single-use pass represents a significant shift from the traditional model, which required guests to buy an Express pass that covered all eligible rides.

Temporary Offering with Possible Expansion

This offering is temporary, and its future may include expansion to other attractions based on evaluations conducted by Universal Orlando. A representative stated, “We are always evaluating our offerings and exploring ways to enhance the guest experience.”

How to Purchase

To obtain the Universal Express Single Attraction Access, guests should approach either the Mummy or Kong attractions. An a-frame sign located outside each ride provides pertinent information. Guests can scan the accompanying QR code, which redirects them to the Universal Orlando app for purchase.

Pricing Information

  • Cost for Single Attraction Access: $25 per person, per ride.
  • Comprehensive Universal Express pass for a full day: $210 for Universal Studios Florida.
  • Comprehensive Universal Express pass for Islands of Adventure: $220.
  • Price range for daily comprehensive passes: $120 to $360, depending on the date.

As Universal continues to refine its offerings, this single-use pass might become a more permanent feature, enhancing the overall guest experience at its theme parks.
