Weekend Metro Update: October 10-13, 2025

This weekend, public transportation in Seattle will face several service changes from October 10 to October 13, 2025, due to various construction activities and events.

Weekend Service Impacts: Key Dates

  • Friday, October 10: Changes will start at 8 p.m.
  • Saturday, October 11: Services will return to normal after 1 p.m.
  • Monday, October 13: Indigenous Peoples’ Day schedule adjustments apply.

Service Disruptions

Several bus routes will be impacted over the weekend:

  • Route 22: Stop #22280 (SW 100th Street & 35th Avenue SW westbound) will be closed from Friday at 8 p.m. to Saturday at 4 a.m. due to construction.
  • Routes 101 and 150: Expect reroutes off 2nd Avenue between Marion Street and Columbia Street from Friday at 11:59 p.m. to Saturday at 7:30 a.m.
  • Routes 255 and ST 542: These routes will detour in the Montlake area from 8 p.m. to 11 p.m. during the Husky football game on Friday.
  • Multiple Routes: Buses including Routes 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 7, 8, 10, 11, 12, 28, 40, 49, 62, 70, 101, 131, 132, 150, ST 545, ST 550, ST 554, and RapidRide C and E Lines will be rerouted from 7:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Saturday due to the Puget Sound Heart & Stroke Walk.

Public Transit Options

On Monday, October 13, various transit services will adhere to a different schedule due to Indigenous Peoples’ Day:

  • Metro Buses
  • First Hill Streetcar
  • South Lake Union Streetcar
  • Metro Flex
  • West Seattle Water Taxi & Shuttle Routes 773 & 775
  • Vashon Water Taxi
  • ST Express Bus
  • Sounder Train
  • Link Light Rail Line 1

Special Events

In addition to transit changes, several events are scheduled this weekend:

  • Reign FC match on Friday at 7:30 p.m. at Lumen Field.
  • Seattle Sounders match on Saturday at 6:30 p.m. at Lumen Field.

Furthermore, beginning Saturday, the Water Taxi will transition to its winter sailing schedule, while Vashon Water Taxi will commence its six-day-a-week service with seven round trips each Saturday between Pier 50 in downtown Seattle and the Vashon Ferry Terminal.

Additional Information

The Seattle Center Monorail will operate at the following times:

  • Friday: 7:30 a.m. to 11:30 p.m.
  • Saturday: 8:30 a.m. to 11 p.m.
  • Sunday: 8:30 a.m. to 9 p.m.
  • Monday: 8:30 a.m. to 9 p.m.
