Ravens Regain Health Ahead of Clash with Rams

The Baltimore Ravens are experiencing a positive shift in their injury report as they prepare for their upcoming matchup against the Los Angeles Rams. Despite the absence of quarterback Lamar Jackson, who is nursing a hamstring injury, several key players have resumed practice ahead of Sunday’s game.

Injury Updates Ahead of Ravens vs. Rams

Among those returning to the practice field are:

  • Safety Kyle Hamilton (groin)
  • Cornerback Marlon Humphrey (calf)
  • Left tackle Ronnie Stanley (ankle)
  • Fullback Patrick Ricard (calf)
  • Cornerback Chidobe Awuzie (hamstring)

Awuzie had been absent for five consecutive practices and missed last week’s game against the Houston Texans. His return adds depth to the Ravens’ secondary, which has struggled this season.

Remaining Injuries

As of Friday, only three players remain sidelined:

  • Lamar Jackson
  • Linebacker Roquan Smith (hamstring)
  • Wide receiver Devontez Walker (oblique)

Smith was seen walking off the field in casual attire during practice, suggesting he may soon return to action. The Ravens hope to have him back as they face a tough Rams offense.

Challenges Ahead

The Ravens’ defense has faced challenges this season, ranking last in the league for points allowed and 31st in pass defense. Getting Hamilton and Humphrey back will be crucial as they prepare to defend against the Rams, who boast standout players like quarterback Matthew Stafford and receiver Puka Nacua.

Head Coach John Harbaugh indicated that Ricard’s target return is set for the game against the Chicago Bears after the bye week. Meanwhile, Jackson is expected to miss his second consecutive game, but the team remains hopeful for a healthy roster post-bye.
