On Thursday, they welcomed Patrik Allvin as Vice President and Assistant General Manager, along with Pascal Vincent as Assistant Coach. Patrik Allvin: A Proven Leader
Patrik Allvin’s addition to the Kraken is a strategic move. He has a solid background in talent evaluation across both North America and Europe. Allvin previously served as the General Manager of the Vancouver Canucks, where he was recognized as a finalist for NHL GM of the Year in 2024. Under his leadership, the Canucks achieved a 50-23-9 record, capturing their first division title since 2013 and advancing to the second round of the Stanley Cup Playoffs.
Jason Botterill, the Kraken’s General Manager, praised Allvin’s communication skills and strategic approach to decision-making. Vincent has also served as an NHL assistant coach for several teams, including five seasons with the Winnipeg Jets and stints with the Columbus Blue Jackets. Lane Lambert, the Kraken head coach, emphasized Vincent’s extensive experience and dedication to player development as key factors in his hiring. Vincent shares Lambert’s philosophy on building a strong team culture while maintaining a balanced approach between offense and defense.
