The raid took place around 5:45 a.m. at a location on Martha Eaton Way in northwest Toronto. Tactical teams from the Toronto Police Service and the Royal Canadian Mounted Police (RCMP) participated in the operation. Officers arrived with a significant number of marked and unmarked vehicles, including plainclothes investigators, uniformed personnel, and canine units.

The raid is reportedly tied to an investigation into the March 10 shooting at the U.S. Consulate. At that time, two gunmen targeted the building, fleeing the scene in a white Honda CR-V.
