Quebec Regional Parks Offer Free Access All Summer and Fall

The Quebec government has launched an exciting initiative to provide free access to its regional parks throughout the summer and fall of 2026. Announced on June 8, the plan involves an investment of $3.4 million aimed at enhancing outdoor experiences for nature lovers.
Details of the Free Access Initiative
The initiative, termed “Accès nature,” will enable free entry to numerous accredited regional parks. This funding supports both the Association of Regional Parks of Quebec (Parq) and the Quebec Outdoor Establishments Society (Sépaq).
Of the total investment, Parq will receive $850,000. This funding will allow for approximately 55,000 daily access points over two years. Marie-Eve St-Onge, Parq’s Director of Communications, expressed optimism about the program. “Starting from June 10, visitors can reserve their free tickets for access between June 11 and October 31, 2026,” she stated.

- Booking starts: June 10, 2026, at noon

Discounts on National Park Access
Sépaq will additionally benefit from a $2,555,000 investment over the next two years. This funding will facilitate a 30% discount on 96,001 annual passes. The first batch of 57,478 passes will be available online starting June 10.
- Annual pass price after discount: $65.10 (originally $93)

This strategic funding aims to promote outdoor activities and provide residents and visitors with an opportunity to explore Quebec’s natural beauty at a minimal cost.
