Dump Truck Falls from N147; Driver Hospitalized at University Hospital

A dramatic accident occurred on Tuesday morning near Migné-Auxances. A dump truck fell from the N147 onto the D910 around 9:30 AM. The reasons for this incident are still under investigation.

Driver Hospitalized After Dump Truck Incident

The truck driver was conscious at the scene and was promptly transported to the University Hospital of Poitiers for treatment. While the injuries were not life-threatening, the accident required immediate medical attention.

Traffic Disruption and Emergency Response

Following the incident, the D910 experienced a complete traffic halt as emergency crews worked to clear the overturned vehicle. A detour was established to manage the flow of vehicles around the site. On the N147, one lane was also closed to facilitate the rescue and recovery efforts.

Emergency Services Involved

  • 17 firefighters responded to the scene.
  • A team from the Smur (Emergency Medical Service) was also present.

Authorities continue to investigate the cause of the dump truck’s fall from the N147. Further updates will be provided as more information becomes available.
