Disney World and Disneyland Hike Prices, Unveil Money-Saving Options

Recent price adjustments at both Disneyland and Walt Disney World have significant implications for visitors. While some ticket prices have risen, there are still ample opportunities to save on trips to these iconic parks.
Current Ticket Price Changes at Disneyland
Disneyland has retained the price of its lowest-tier ticket at $104, unchanged since 2019. However, the highest-tier ticket, known as Tier 6, has seen an increase from $206 to $224. Ticket prices are set according to anticipated crowd levels, with higher tiers reserved for peak periods such as Christmas and New Year’s Eve.
In general, the price increases for other ticket tiers have ranged from 1.5% to 4.9%, which represents a decrease compared to last year’s hikes of 5.9% to 6.5%. Meanwhile, the five-day park hopper ticket has increased by $39, bringing its new cost to $655. The prices for Disneyland’s top two Annual Pass options have also been adjusted, though the lower two pass options remain unchanged.
Walt Disney World Ticket Price Adjustments
Walt Disney World has experienced a notable surge in ticket prices, with some rates surpassing the $199 mark for the first time. In November and December of 2026, the highest-tier tickets are now priced at $209. For the time being, the lowest ticket price stands at $119, while the highest remains at $199. Other tiers have experienced an average increase of $5.
Annual Pass and Parking Costs
- Annual pass prices have risen by $20 to $80 across the board.
- Parking fees have also increased by $5.
Money-Saving Options for Disney Park Visitors
Despite the price hikes, guests can still find ways to save on their Disney vacations. Disneyland offers 32 days over the next six months where tickets can be booked at the $104 rate. Additionally, a new 3-Day Park Hopper Ticket is available for California residents for $249, marking a saving of over 50% for visits from January 1 to May 21, 2026.
Staying at Disneyland Resort Hotels can provide additional savings, with discounts of up to 20% on selected stays of three nights or more from August 17 to December 19, 2025. Likewise, in Walt Disney World, visitors can save up to $250 per night for stays of four nights or longer when purchasing a four-day or longer theme park ticket between January 4 and July 25, 2026. This offer can be combined with free dining plans for children aged 3 to 9 in 2026.
Understanding the Price Hike Reasons
Disney’s price increases are reflective of broader trends in the entertainment industry. A representative stated that these adjustments are necessary to sustain the quality and variety of experiences offered at the parks. Recent developments include new attractions based on popular movies and shows, which significantly enhance the visitor experience.
Disney anticipates further enhancements, aiming to keep the magic alive for all guests despite rising operational costs. As Disney continues to evolve and expand, the value of a trip remains a paramount focus.
