Oilers Boost Hockey Operations with Key Promotions

The Edmonton Oilers have made significant changes in their hockey operations, announcing a series of key promotions following their playoff exit. The notable updates were made public on Thursday and include eight individuals who will play crucial roles in shaping the team’s future.
Key Promotions in Hockey Operations
Highlighted among the promotions is Michael Parkatti, now serving as Vice President of Analytics and Technology. Parkatti joined the Oilers in September 2023 and previously held the position of Senior Director of Data & Analytics. His experience includes consultancy for the Oilers from 2013 to 2015.
New Roles and Responsibilities
An additional notable appointment is Kirt Hill, recognized as the Assistant General Manager of Player Procurement. Hill has a strong background, having been the president of hockey operations and general manager for the Edmonton Oil Kings in the Western Hockey League (WHL). Under his leadership, the Oil Kings won the Ed Chynoweth Cup in 2022.
