In April 2026, the European automotive market witnessed a notable 4.2% rise in new car registrations. This growth was primarily supported by strong demand for electric vehicles (EVs) and hybrid models, driven by favorable consumer trends and enhanced tax incentives across major European nations.

The battery-electric vehicles (BEVs) achieved a market share of 19.7%, significantly up from 15.3% a year earlier. Petril and Diesel Car Registrations Decline

  • Germany: -17.2%
