Capitol Centre Unveils Exciting 2026/2027 Season Lineup

The Capitol Centre has announced its exciting lineup for the 2026/2027 season, attracting a near-capacity crowd at Betty Speers Theatre. Arts enthusiasts gathered to hear from Executive Director Katina Connolly and Director of Programming Dan Misturada about the upcoming performances. Jennifer Allison, the Director and Curator of the WKP Kennedy Gallery, also shared details regarding exhibitions and events planned for the season.

Upcoming Local Talents
The season’s opening performance will be on September 26 with Matt Weidinger and his band, who will showcase music inspired by Van Morrison. Weidinger’s band provided a preview with classic songs, generating excitement among the audience.
Affordable Ticketing Options
In response to the current economic climate, the Capitol Centre aims to offer an affordable season. Dan Misturada emphasized this commitment, announcing the most expensive ticket priced at $70 and an average top price of $44. The organization plans to provide something for everyone, whether it’s music, comedy, or drama.

New Additions: The Spectacle Series

Fright Week: Halloween Specials
The Capitol Centre will host “Fright Week” from October 29 to 31, showcasing three unique theatrical productions. Written and directed by Joshua Bainbridge, the performances include classic horror tales such as Frankenstein, The Wolf Man, and Dracula, each offering a stand-alone story.
