Travelers are encouraged to check the latest entry regulations before departing. Jet2 advises that requirements can differ based on nationality and the type of travel documents held. It is particularly important for those who do not possess a full ‘British Citizen’ or EU passport, as they may face different entry conditions. Detailed information can be accessed on the FCDO website.

Entry/Exit System for European Travel

Beginning on October 12, 2025, the European Union will introduce a new Entry/Exit System. This platform will affect British nationals traveling to Schengen Area countries. Key countries involved include:

  • Austria
  • France
  • Germany
  • Spain
  • Portugal
  • And many others

Travelers can expect digital checks upon arrival and departure, which may lead to increased wait times. Jet2 has stated that there will be no fees associated with these checks.
