Following a weekend marked by rain and flooding, warmer weather is set to briefly return to Romania. Meteorologists forecast summer-like temperatures reaching up to 33 degrees Celsius by midweek.

According to Florinela Georgescu, head of forecasting at the National Meteorological Administration (ANM), the rising temperatures will be felt first in the western part of the country. Starting tomorrow, areas will see temperatures nearing 30 degrees Celsius.

This warm spell, however, will not last long. Starting Thursday, a cold front will move in, bringing cooler temperatures and increased rainfall.
