Andrea Stella has addressed the recent speculation connecting Oscar Piastri with a potential transfer to Red Bull Racing. The discussions coincided with increased chatter about Gianpiero Lambiase’s appointment as Team Principal at McLaren.

Oscar Piastri is currently under a multi-year contract with McLaren, extending until at least the end of 2027. As rumors surfaced about a possible switch to Red Bull, particularly if Max Verstappen leaves, Stella reaffirmed McLaren’s satisfaction with Piastri and his teammate Lando Norris.
During a media session at the Canadian Grand Prix, Stella emphasized the team’s commitment to stability. He remarked, “I think we are seeing the best Oscar in the cockpit and also a happy Oscar outside the cockpit.” He noted the strong dynamic between Piastri and Norris, reflecting a robust team atmosphere.
