Kyler Murray Suffers Foot Injury

Arizona Cardinals quarterback Kyler Murray is sidelined from practice as he recovers from a foot injury. Head coach Jonathan Gannon confirmed that Murray’s status is being evaluated daily. The Cardinals are preparing for their upcoming game against the Indianapolis Colts, who currently hold a 4-1 record.

Kyler Murray’s Injury Details

Murray faced a setback during last Sunday’s loss to the Tennessee Titans. He briefly left the field after an incident where center Hjalte Froholdt’s snapped ball struck him in the face mask. Soon after, he headed to the locker room.

The team later listed him as questionable to return due to the foot injury. Backup quarterback Jacoby Brissett briefly took over, handling three snaps before Murray re-entered the game.

Season Performance

This season, Murray has made a strong comeback following his recovery from an ACL tear. Over five games, he has achieved:

  • Completion Rate: 68.3%
  • Passing Yards: 962
  • Touchdowns: 6
  • Interceptions: 3
  • Rushing Yards: 173 on 29 attempts

Backup Quarterback and Other Injuries

Brissett was signed in the offseason to serve as an experienced backup. He started five games in 2024 and is prepared to step in if needed. Gannon acknowledged, “If he’s gotta play, he’s gotta play.”

Additionally, defensive end Darius Robinson did not practice due to a chest issue. The second-year defender missed the previous week’s game but started the first four weeks of the season.
