Honda Recalls Nearly 60,000 Vehicles: Check Affected Models

Honda is recalling nearly 60,000 vehicles due to safety concerns related to rearview camera malfunctions. The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) reported that this issue could potentially increase the risk of crashes and injuries.
Details of the Recall
The malfunction occurs when the rearview camera display shows distorted or blank images. This issue arises from improper bonding in the camera’s housing, which can cause the adhesive to separate. As a result, moisture may corrode the internal electrical components, leading to a blurry image or a complete blackout of the display.
Affected Models
The recall affects approximately 59,887 vehicles, which include:
- 2024 Acura ZDX
- 2024-2025 Honda Prologue
What Affected Owners Should Do
Owners of the recalled vehicles can visit a Honda dealer, where the rearview camera will be replaced at no cost. A notification letter detailing the recall and associated risks will be sent to vehicle owners on July 6.
For additional information, car owners are encouraged to contact Honda’s customer service at 888-234-2138. Honda has designated this recall as DO5 and RO6, with the NHTSA ID number 26V306000.
How to Check Your Vehicle
Those who believe their vehicles might be included in the recall can verify their status. Owners can search using their vehicle identification numbers (VINs) or state and license plate numbers on NHTSA.gov to find out if their vehicles are part of the recall.
