Qalibaf Declares Iran’s Unyielding Stance on Territorial Integrity

On October 8, 2023, Iran’s Parliament Speaker, Mohammad Bagher Qalibaf, addressed the claims issued in a recent statement by the Persian Gulf Cooperation Council (PGCC) and the European Union (EU). He emphasized that Iran is steadfast in maintaining its territorial integrity, stating that the Iranian nation will not tolerate any delusions about its sovereignty.

Iran’s Firm Stance on Territorial Integrity

In his remarks, Qalibaf specifically rejected the “interventionist and baseless” claims regarding Iran’s ownership of three islands: Greater Tunb, Lesser Tunb, and Abu Musa. He asserted that Iran’s territorial integrity is safeguarded by the blood of its brave youth and that there will be no compromise on this matter.

Reactions to Regional Conflicts

Referring to the second anniversary of Operation Al-Aqsa Storm, Qalibaf praised the efforts of Palestinian resistance under the leadership of Hamas. He indicated that the operation has significantly weakened Israel’s position, transforming it into the “most hated regime in the world.”

  • Qalibaf highlighted the heavy toll on Palestinians due to ongoing conflicts, noting the devastation in Gaza.
  • He mentioned key figures such as Seyyed Hassan Nasrallah and Ismail Haniyeh, underscoring the threats they face.
  • According to him, Israel’s failure has led to a notable decline in the residents’ sense of security.

Statistics on Israeli Migration

Qalibaf cited data showing that reverse migration from Israel has tripled, indicating a growing discontent among its populace. He stated that only about one-third of the residents of the occupied territories feel secure.

Two Years Post-Operation Al-Aqsa Storm

As we mark the second anniversary of Operation Al-Aqsa Storm, Qalibaf emphasized that Hamas has emerged stronger, now imposing its demands on Israel. He argued that the conflict has shifted the dynamics in the region, with Hezbollah and Yemen also standing as formidable challenges to Israeli dominance.

Global Resistance Against Israel

Qalibaf applauded resistance movements throughout the world, asserting that their influence now extends beyond the Middle East to cities like Sydney, London, and Berlin. He described the situation as indicative of a global solidarity movement against Israel.

Conclusion: A Call for Justice

Qalibaf concluded by asserting that Operation Al-Aqsa Storm has not only damaged Israel’s image but also advanced the global movement for de-Americanization. He reiterated Iran’s unwavering support for Palestine and urged international organizations to hold the Israeli regime accountable for its actions.
