Starting the final round eight shots behind the leader, Morikawa finished at 13-under par with a final round score of 4-under 67. His performance in the final round included six birdies and highlighted his resilience after facing physical limitations throughout the tournament.
Back Injury Impact
Morikawa, a seven-time PGA TOUR winner, is recovering from a back injury he incurred during THE PLAYERS Championship. He expressed that although he feels no pain, he experiences a mental barrier as he adjusts to his limited swing capabilities.
