Alberta Woman, 82, and Dog Missing in Saskatchewan: Search Intensifies

Search efforts are intensifying for Diane Cooper, an 82-year-old woman from Alberta, and her Dalmatian, Halo. The pair has been missing for over ten days. RCMP believe they may be located somewhere in Saskatchewan.

Last Sighting and Timeline

The last confirmed sighting of Cooper occurred in Hoosier, Saskatchewan, eleven days ago. This small community is situated 260 kilometers from Saskatoon. Prior to this, Cooper was tracked using an Air Tag, which indicated she was near Veteran, Alberta, shortly after her disappearance on April 6.

Investigators believe Cooper passed through various locations in Alberta, including Stettler and Hanna. Reports indicate that a local resident in Stettler provided her with directions to Calgary, but she headed east instead.

Surveillance Evidence

At approximately 11 p.m. on the day of the last sighting, Cooper’s vehicle was captured by surveillance footage in Hoosier. The RCMP received this footage a week later. After this sighting, the Air Tag tracking Cooper’s whereabouts ceased functioning.

Description and Vehicle Details

Diane Cooper is described as follows:

  • Age: 82 years
  • Height: 5 feet 1 inch
  • Weight: 100 pounds
  • Hair: White
  • Eyes: Blue
  • Wears eyeglasses

Cooper is believed to be driving a grey Toyota C-HR XLE with Alberta license plate LVA978.

Ongoing Search Efforts

Since the time Cooper was reported missing, multiple tips have been received by the RCMP, but none have yielded significant leads. Air searches conducted by Alberta’s RCMP Air Services have returned negative results.

The search for Cooper involves various units from the Saskatchewan RCMP, including search and rescue teams, marshal services, and traffic units. Public assistance has been requested, with authorities encouraging anyone with information to contact Consort RCMP.

As the search continues, both the Alberta and Saskatchewan RCMP remain dedicated to locating Diane Cooper and her dog, Halo. Community support is crucial in these efforts, as authorities exhaust all possible avenues to find them.
