Christian Marc Gendron’s recent performance, titled “Trilogie,” recently captivated audiences at the Capitole in Québec. This eclectic show takes viewers on a musical journey filled with a diverse range of genres.

Gendron showcased an impressive array of medleys during the concert. These included tributes to legendary artists such as Ray Charles, Elton John, and Billy Joel. The performance also featured well-known songs from country and boogie-woogie genres.

For his show, Gendron brought together nine talented musicians, including:

  • His partner, Manon Séguin, contributing vocals

The opening number, “The Greatest Show” from the film “The Greatest Showman,” set an exciting tone. Gendron emphasized the eclectic nature of the evening, telling the audience, “There’s a lot going on in my head.” The audience at the Capitole was nearly at full capacity, largely comprising individuals in their fifties and sixties. Initially, the crowd took time to warm up but ultimately engaged fully with the performance.

Throughout the show, Gendron executed several entertaining vocal imitations of renowned Québécois artists, including:

To conclude the evening, Gendron performed “Piano Bar,” transitioning into “Piano Man,” a tribute to his mentor, Billy Joel. He also honored Rodger Brulotte with a performance of “My Way” during the encore. Gendron will return for additional shows at the Capitole on Friday and Saturday, with extra performances scheduled for October 9 and 10.
