Gas Leak at Victoria Pool Hospitalizes Eight

A gas leak incident at a local facility has resulted in the hospitalization of eight individuals. The Victoria Fire Department’s chief, Dan Atkinson, reported that the emergency was triggered by a 911 call received shortly before noon.

Upon responding to the scene, emergency personnel identified a case of “chemical exposure.” Initial reports indicated that staff at the facility detected a noxious smell. This odor caused discomfort in the nose, mouth, and upper respiratory tract of those present.
