Character Overview: Maxima
Maxima is a warrior queen from the planet Almerac, originating from DC Comics’ Action Comics #645, released in 1990. First created by writer Roger Stern and artist George Pérez, she is known for her complex relationship with Superman. Maxima often serves as both an ally and an antagonist, arriving on Earth with the intention of finding a worthy mate.

Though Maxima has not been featured in live-action films, she has appeared in television series such as “Smallville” and “Supergirl,” portrayed by Charlotte Sullivan and Eve Torres Gracie respectively. Moreover, she has also been included in various animated adaptations, including “Superman: The Animated Series.”
