Steve McNamara to Join Hull FC as Head Coach

Steve McNamara’s Journey
Steve McNamara, a Hull-born coach, has expressed a long-standing desire to lead Hull FC. His connection to the club dates back to 1989, when he first played for them. McNamara enjoyed a successful playing career, winning the Premiership with Hull FC in 1991 and amassing over 160 appearances.
Coaching Experience
McNamara brings extensive coaching experience in Super League. He has held significant positions at Bradford Bulls and Catalans Dragons. Under his leadership, the Catalans won the Challenge Cup in 2018 and reached the Super League Grand Finals in 2021 and 2023, clinching the League Leaders Shield in 2021.
International and NRL Experience
- Coached England from 2010 to 2015
- Worked with Sydney Roosters and New Zealand Warriors in the NRL
