The Augusta National Women’s Amateur (ANWA) offers various rewards for its champion, reflecting its significance in women’s golf. While a Green Jacket is not among the prizes, the benefits are substantial.

Prizes for the Champion of Augusta National Women’s Amateur

The previous year’s champion, Carla Bernat Escuder, experienced significant advantages following her victory over Asterisk Talley. Escuder qualified for four of the five major championships on the LPGA Tour, showcasing the impact of winning this prestigious amateur event.

Notable Achievements of Previous Winners

  • Carla Bernat Escuder: Tied for 58th at the AIG Women’s Open Championship.
  • Rose Zhang and Lottie Woad: Each won ANWA during their professional debut on the LPGA Tour.
  • Jennifer Kupchao: The only ANWA winner with a major title, winning the 2022 ANA Inspiration.

Future Tournament Exemptions

The champion of the 2026 Augusta National Women’s Amateur will enjoy entry into several significant tournaments:

  • The next five Augusta National Women’s Amateurs (2027-2031)
  • 2026 U.S. Women’s Open
  • 2026 AIG Women’s Open

  • Various USGA, R&A, and PGA of America amateur championships

All exemptions depend on the champion retaining her amateur status. Additionally, the winner will receive the distinctive ANWA trophy, crafted by Tiffany and Co. from sterling silver.

Ranking Points and LPGA LEAP Program

The newly crowned champion will also gain valuable World Amateur Golf Ranking points and two points in the LPGA’s LEAP program. This program, announced last year, mirrors the PGA Tour University initiative, providing college players with points to secure PGA Tour membership after graduation.

Last year, Lottie Woad obtained LPGA membership through the LEAP program, highlighting how the Augusta National Women’s Amateur can serve as a launchpad for aspiring professional golfers.
