Heartfelt Tribute to Maya Kibbel
In a touching social media post, Nick shared a cherished childhood photo of Maya. He expressed his deep emotions with words that reflected their close bond. “I reached for my phone to call you so many times today, because for as long as I can remember, this has been your day,” he wrote.
He continued, “I will cherish the time God gave us together forever. Please be at peace in heaven now, and blow your candles with the angels. You are and always will be my sister. I miss you so much. Happy birthday Maya.”
Maya Kibbel’s Battle with Wilson’s Disease
Maya Kibbel, who was only 30 years old at the time of her passing, had struggled for years with a rare genetic disorder. Her mother, Kiyoko Kibbel, shared the heartbreaking news on social media, revealing that Maya collapsed on March 7. “It was too late and she passed away in the ER,” her mother stated.
A Sisterly Bond
The bond between Maya and Nick was likened to that of siblings. They grew up together, forming a connection that remained strong throughout their lives. In response to the announcement of her death, Nick commented, “My sister forever. Here for you always @coach_kibbel.”
