The newborn is the offspring of Jindou, a golden monkey born on March 29, 2018. The facility welcomed golden monkeys in April 2025 as part of an international conservation effort in collaboration with China. The arrival of Jindou, Jinhua, and Jinbao—to the zoo was a significant milestone, representing the first successful introduction of their species outside Asia.
Care and Monitoring
After the birth, the dedicated staff closely monitored the health and development of the baby monkey. Immediately following delivery, the mother cradled the infant, protecting it against her chest.
