Janel Grant Reveals New Details in Allegations Against McMahon, Lesnar, WWE
A new affidavit from Janel Grant has brought to light serious allegations against Vince McMahon and WWE, which she claims occurred during her employment from 2019 to 2022. The 40-page document, released on a Wednesday, delves deeper into her initial lawsuit filed in 2024. Grant alleges she was a victim of sex trafficking, emotional and physical abuse, and fears for her safety during her time in the company.
Key Allegations by Janel Grant Against WWE Executives
In her latest affidavit, Grant shares harrowing accounts of her experiences and interactions with McMahon, Brock Lesnar, and John Laurinaitis. She describes feeling “used, exploited, and intimidated” for the gratification of these men.
Details of the Affidavit
- Grant states she was coerced into signing a non-disclosure agreement (NDA) without proper review.
- She recounts a sexual encounter with McMahon taking place on May 11, 2019, which led to more incidents, including a forced threesome on May 9, 2020.
- Grant claims McMahon and Laurinaitis sexually assaulted her on multiple occasions, detailing several assaults throughout 2021.
She notes that McMahon’s behavior intensified during the COVID-19 pandemic, claiming he had “unlimited access” to her while both worked from home. Grant’s shift to WWE’s talent relations department brought her closer to Laurinaitis, who she alleges also engaged in inappropriate behavior.
Interactions with Brock Lesnar
Grant’s affidavit also discusses alleged interactions with WWE wrestler Brock Lesnar. She claims McMahon attempted to traffic her to Lesnar, stating there were multiple arrangements for sexual encounters that never materialized.
- McMahon allegedly prepared Grant for sexual encounters with Lesnar by inflicting harm on her.
- In late 2021, Lesnar contacted Grant, indicating he was aware of her association with WWE.
Grant’s Exit and Legal Battles
Grant’s departure from WWE began in January 2022. She claims McMahon pressured her into signing an NDA under duress. Despite a possible career opportunity with other media outlets, she felt trapped in a system of exploitation, which led to suicidal thoughts.
On February 10, 2022, she submitted her resignation, marking the end of her tumultuous journey in the WWE. As a result of her experiences, Grant is now pushing for her case to remain in court, rather than being pushed into arbitration due to the NDA.
Response from WWE and Legal Proceedings
WWE representatives have not publicly responded to Grant’s new claims. McMahon has consistently denied the allegations made against him. Grant’s affidavit serves as a pivotal moment in her ongoing legal battle, bringing renewed attention to her serious allegations against high-profile figures in the wrestling industry.
This situation sheds light on the potential abuses within WWE and raises important questions about workplace safety and accountability in the entertainment industry.
