Rochdale Development Agency Appoints New Managing Director

Rachel Laver has been appointed as the new managing director of the Rochdale Development Agency (RDA). She succeeds Levi Rickell, who left the position last year. The RDA, established in 1993 by Rochdale Council, aims to attract investment into the borough.

Laver comes to the RDA from the Staffordshire Chamber of Commerce, where she served as chief executive. Her impressive career includes:

- Four and a half years at Cheshire and Warrington LEP

In her new capacity, Laver will be pivotal in advancing Rochdale’s regeneration efforts. A key project under her direction will be Atom Valley, a significant employment development covering 17 million square feet, aimed at attracting businesses in the advanced manufacturing sector.
