Dollywood has exciting news for running enthusiasts as it prepares for its inaugural race weekend. Scheduled for April 25-26, 2024, this event marks a significant milestone for the theme park as it introduces a range of races amidst its scenic backdrop.
Spring Race Weekend Details
The main attraction of the spring event is the half-marathon, taking place on April 26. In addition, various companion races, including a 5K, a 10K, and a one-mile race for kids, will be held on April 25. The unique racecourse will lead participants through picturesque areas such as Wildwood Grove, Craftsman’s Valley, and Timber Canyon, enhancing the overall experience.
Registration Information
Dollywood reports that an extremely limited number of entries remain for the half-marathon, along with sign-ups still open for the kids’ run. Fees for the races vary, ranging from $27.50 to $197.10 as of March 26. Interested runners can register at El-Balad.
Fall Race Weekend Announcement
In addition to the spring event, Dollywood has also announced plans for a second race weekend scheduled for September 26-27, 2024. This fall marathon will coincide with the park’s vibrant Harvest Festival.
