Disney Ends Public Access to ‘Indiana Jones’ in March 2026

Construction is underway near the Indiana Jones Epic Stunt Spectacular! at Disney’s Hollywood Studios. This project may influence future visits to the park.
Details of the Construction Project
Recently, visitors at Walt Disney World Resort noticed construction near a former merchandise kiosk at Disney’s Hollywood Studios. This area has not sold Indiana Jones merchandise since before the COVID-19 pandemic.
Previously, it was occupied by a prop truck. It has since been used for outdoor snack and beverage vending carts.
Activity Timeline
- March 17: BlogMickey reported on the initial construction activities.
- March 18: WDWNT shared photos of the site showing significant changes.
Changes included the removal of a protective net and a digital tip board screen. New rolling planters have been placed to hide the ongoing work.
Current Status of Nearby Attractions
Despite the construction, both the Indiana Jones Epic Stunt Spectacular! and the Backlot Express Quick-Service dining location remain operational. However, the stunt show has temporarily removed the iconic 400-pound boulder effect following an incident last year where a cast member was injured.
Future of the Project
Walt Disney World Resort has not provided any comments on the scope or completion timeline of the construction. As this project unfolds, it could affect guest experiences at this popular attraction.
