IMGW has declared first-degree frost warnings in eastern, northern, and central Poland. The affected provinces include:

  • Zachodniopomorskie
  • Pomorskie
  • Warmińsko-Mazurskie
  • Podlaskie
  • Kujawsko-Pomorskie
  • Mazowieckie
  • Lubelskie
  • Świętokrzyskie
  • Łódzkie
  • Parts of Lubuskie, Wielkopolskie, Śląskie, Podkarpackie, and Małopolskie

Temperatures in these areas are expected to drop to around -3°C, with ground temperatures dipping as low as -6°C. These alerts will be in effect from Friday at 10 PM until Saturday at 8 AM.

Fog Warnings in Northern Regions

In northern Poland, particularly in parts of Pomorskie and Zachodniopomorskie, IMGW has also issued first-degree warnings for dense fog. Visibility may fall below 200 meters in some areas.

The fog alerts will be active from Friday at 6 PM until Saturday at 9 AM. IMGW noted that fog conditions will vary, with periods of particularly dense fog expected, especially along the coast.

Snowfall Predictions in Southern Poland

In southern Poland, specifically in Małopolskie, first-degree warnings have been issued for potential snowfall. Accumulations may reach up to 5 cm in some localities. Snow alerts are valid from Friday at 9 PM until Saturday at 6 AM.

Residents are advised to exercise caution during these periods, particularly when traveling, as conditions may impede visibility and road safety.
