Jayden Daniels Set to Start Against Chargers

Commanders quarterback Jayden Daniels confirmed his readiness to play against the Chargers this Sunday. The team’s management supports his return to the lineup.
Jayden Daniels to Start Against Chargers
Head coach Dan Quinn announced on Friday that Daniels will indeed start in Los Angeles this weekend. This marks a significant return for Daniels, who missed the previous two games due to a knee injury.
Previous Games and Performance
During Daniels’ absence, the Commanders achieved a split record of 1-1 with Marcus Mariota at quarterback. Quinn noted that Daniels would wear a brace on his left knee during the game, a precautionary measure given his recent injury. This brace has already been in use during practice sessions this week.
Injury Report and Team Status
Despite Daniels’ return, the Commanders will be without several key players this week:
- Wide receiver Terry McLaurin (quad injury)
- Wide receiver Noah Brown (groin and knee injuries)
- Guard Sam Cosmi (knee injury)
All these players did not travel with the team to Los Angeles. However, Quinn reported that the rest of the roster is medically cleared to compete in Week 5.
