Severe weather has caused mass cancellations and delays at Boston Logan Airport as well as across the nation. On Monday, significant disruptions were reported due to a storm system sweeping through the United States.

Impact on Boston Logan Airport

By late evening, Logan Airport recorded:

  • 279 flight cancellations
  • 339 delays

This contributed to the nationwide total of over 5,400 cancelled flights, impacting many travelers and their plans.

Travelers Share Their Experiences

Passengers faced long waits and ongoing flight cancellations. Maeve Higgins, traveling to Florida, recounted her frustrating experience when she said:

“We booked our trip two months ago, and everything was good. Then this morning we had our flight get canceled. We rescheduled, and it got canceled again.”

She added that her group spent over three hours on hold trying to reach customer service for assistance.

Another traveler, Lauren Price, expressed concern over her non-refundable hotel reservation, stating:

“We are just going to go there for as many days as we can get.”

Flight Cancellations Across the Nation

As the situation worsened, all remaining flights from Boston to New York were cancelled by midday. No major security issues were reported, but the storm’s impact on air travel led to widespread frustration among passengers nationwide.

Travelers are advised to check flight statuses and stay updated, as the severe weather continues to affect travel plans across the country.
