Oasis Guitarist Bonehead Pauses Shows for Prostate Cancer Treatment

Oasis guitarist Paul “Bonehead” Arthurs has announced a pause in his tour activities due to prostate cancer treatment. Earlier this year, he was diagnosed with the illness but reports that he has responded positively to his ongoing care.
Bonehead’s Health Update
In a heartfelt message shared on Instagram, Arthurs expressed his commitment to his health and the upcoming tour. He will be missing shows in major cities, including:
- Seoul
- Tokyo
- Melbourne
- Sydney
Despite this setback, he emphasized feeling optimistic about his treatment and plans to rejoin Oasis for their South American gigs later this year. “I’m really sad to be missing these shows, but I’m feeling good and will be back ready to go in time for South America,” he stated.
Oasis Reunion Tour Schedule
The South American leg of the Oasis reunion tour is set to commence on November 15 in Buenos Aires, Argentina, and will conclude on November 23 in São Paulo, Brazil. The band has shown their support for Arthurs by sharing his message via their Instagram, stating, “Wishing you all the best with your treatment… we’ll see you back on stage in South America.”
Past Health Challenges
This is not the first instance of health complications for Arthurs. In 2022, he temporarily stepped away from performances with Liam Gallagher due to a diagnosis of tonsillar cancer. Fortunately, after undergoing treatment, he reported that the cancer was “all clear.”
As the band gears up for performances in Asia and Australia, fans eagerly await Arthurs’ return to the stage, confirming his resilience and commitment to his craft.
