Southern Quebec is set for a pleasant turn as temperatures rise to 6°C by Friday. Conditions in the central regions will vary:
- Estrie: Expect increasing cloudiness.
- Quebec City: Light snowfall is forecasted.
- Saguenay: A clear sky, though temperatures remain very low.
Severe Cold in Northern and Eastern Regions
While southern areas enjoy milder weather, a significant temperature drop will affect the northern and eastern parts of the province. Environment Canada warns of a severe wind chill warning, particularly in:
- Schefferville
- Fermont
- Blanc-Sablon
The agency reported that cold temperatures combined with moderate west winds will create wind chill values between -45°C and -50°C in the morning. Additionally, parts of eastern Quebec, particularly on the North Shore, will experience wind chill values of -29°C in the morning and -17°C in the afternoon.
