Ringo Starr Unveils 10-Track Album “Long Long Road”

Ringo Starr, born Richard Starkey in Liverpool, has announced the release of his new album titled “Long Long Road.” This 10-track album showcases a blend of country and Americana sounds and is set for release on April 24.

Collaboration with T Bone Burnett

Starr expressed his gratitude for collaborating with T Bone Burnett, a renowned American record producer and guitarist. Burnett is known for his work with Bob Dylan and has received multiple Grammys and an Academy Award for his film soundtracks, including “O Brother, Where Art Thou?” and “Walk the Line.”

Creative Journey

The creation of “Long Long Road” was influenced by their previous work together. Starr mentioned, “After we did the last record, which I love listening to, this one just sort of happened.” He referred to his partnership with Burnett as one of the right moves in his artistic journey.

Musical Influences and Recording Locations

The album was recorded in Nashville and Los Angeles. It features some of the same band members who played on Starr’s previous album, “Look Up.” Influences from legendary guitarist Carl Perkins are evident in the new work. Starr noted that he had previously recorded two of Perkins’ songs with The Beatles.
