Spring Break at the San Antonio Zoo is set to be an exciting experience for visitors this year. The zoo is introducing new attractions and extended hours, ensuring that families have ample time to explore. From March 6 through March 22, guests can enjoy additional hours at the zoo, making it easier to experience everything on offer.

Congo Falls: A New Habitat

One of the highlights this season is Congo Falls. This two-acre habitat represents the return of gorillas to the zoo after a hiatus of over 35 years. Designed for both exploration and interaction, the Congo Falls area allows visitors to engage directly with these magnificent animals.

  • Gorillas back at the zoo after 35 years
  • Immersive landscape for movement and discovery
  • Conservation-focused storytelling integrated into the experience

Congo Falls is included with regular zoo admission and is free for zoo members.

Pollinators Exhibit

Another exciting attraction at the San Antonio Zoo is the Pollinators exhibit, which runs from February 28 to April 26. This world-premiere exhibition features interactive, oversized sculptures that visitors can climb. It emphasizes the importance of various pollinators such as:

  • Bees
  • Butterflies
  • Bats
  • Hummingbirds
  • Chocolate midges

The Pollinators exhibit is also included in zoo admission and free for zoo members, providing a unique dive into ecosystems and the critical role pollinators play in food production.
