Ümraniye Belediyesi is making significant strides during the holy month of Ramadan by hosting iftar dinners for students across the district. The local government organization aims to foster a sense of community and celebrate the spiritual essence of Ramadan.
İftar Dinner Event for 20,000 Students
Throughout Ramadan, Ümraniye will serve daily iftar meals to 20,000 students attending 24 different high schools. This initiative demonstrates the municipality’s commitment to connecting with youth and sharing the values of this holy month.
President İsmet Yıldırım’s Role
President İsmet Yıldırım plays a central role in these activities. He personally meets with students at three different schools each day. During the first week of Ramadan, he joined over 5,300 students at iftar dinners, emphasizing the importance of sharing and unity.
“Ramadan is a time for sharing, helping one another, and coming together. Being at these tables with our youth is invaluable,” Yıldırım stated.
